June 28 - 30, 2011
The
overall objective of the Twillingate - New World Island Unity Games is
to promote participation in sport among the youth of the Twillingate,
New World Island and Boyd's Cove area.
|
Games Objectives
- Grassroot
participation in sport and recreation
- Promote
active healthy lifestyles
- Participation in a
multi-sport event over three days
- Events taking
place in a fun-structured and non-competitive environment
|
The
primary goal will be to increase physical activity among the youth by
having them participate in recreational activities that they would not

active in their daily lives.
